PAID is a professional student-run organization with the purpose of creating networking opportunities between students, industry and faculty within the field of Industrial Distribution. It is Texas A&M University’s third largest student organization and is growing stronger every year! PAID is an exciting gateway to the development and refinement of the skills necessary for a career in sales, purchasing, management, logistics, or any other field related to Industrial Distribution.

We have many recruiting events throughout the year and hope that your company will have an opportunity to participate. Two of our biggest events are the Fall Career Expo held in September and the Spring Career Fair held in February. More information on each of these events can be found in their respective pages under the “Industry” tab above.

In addition, PAID also hosts individual company events including PowerLunches and Corporate Spotlights.

PowerLunches are company sponsored lunches for all PAID members. They are held outside on Fermier Lawn and are usually attended by 200 plus PAID members and faculty. These lunches give companies a chance to network with students in a more relaxed environment while students come and go in between classes for lunch.

PAID members attend professional Corporate Spotlights where they hear from executives and recruiters from an individual company. Industry guests provide students with cutting edge information about their particular industry, discuss trends facing the future of Industrial Distribution, provide interviewing advice and answer general questions from the audience. These events are excellent opportunities for PAID members to learn about a variety of career paths and industries.

PAID also compiles a Digital Resume Collection each semester. This is one of PAID’s most outstanding benefits. Company recruiters are able to access resumes of active PAID members sorted by graduation dates. Many students have been contacted and hired for both full-time and internship/co-op positions through this feature of PAID.

We are grateful to our current and long time supporters, and PAID would not an excellent organization without them. We cherish the opportunity to begin new industry relationships that give us the opportunity to diversify our knowledge of distribution.
