Recruiting Opportunities

PAID has many other opportunities for companies to get involved throughout the school year. Our major industry events include:

  • Fall Career Expo with Golf Tournament and Networking Social
    • A three day event featuring a student informational (day 1), an all-day golf tournament and networking social during the evening (day 2) and the Career Expo (day 3).
    • Scramble Style golf tournament with two industry reps and two students per team.
    • Prizes given for the top teams in the tournament.
    • Career Expo includes 50+ companies recruiting for internships and/or full time employment.
  • Spring Career Fair with Casino Social
    • Three day event featuring student informational (day 1), evening casino social (day 2) and the Career Fair (day 3).
    • Casino style social allows students to interact casually with industry guests in a fun and creative way without the pressure of resumes or suits.
    • At the end of the event, prizes are awarded that have included Amazon Kindles and DVD/Blu-Ray players.
    • Career Fair includes 50+ companies recruiting for internships and/or full time employment.
  • PowerLunches
    • Held on the Fermier lawn, students will have the opportunity to sit down and enjoy free food while talking to industry guests in a casual setting.
    • Food will be provided from a local catering service and is included with student dues.
  • Corporate Spotlights
    • Formal presentation from industry representatives about their companies.
    • One-on-one interaction between industry guests and students, providing them the opportunity to ask questions and learn what they want to know about the company.
    • Dinner will be provided at each event and students have the opportunity to vote on what food will be served. View the event page under the calendar section for the voting link.
  • Intern for a Day
    • Companies will host an internship program that will last one day.
    • Through this event, students will get a hands-on feel for how the company works and learn as much as they can about the people behind the company.
    • Selection for this event begins with a sign up and companies will choose who they want to attend.
  • Resume Review
    • Students will have the opportunity to talk with the PAID Officers in a one-on-one environment about their resume.
    • Offered once a semester and is very beneficial because it is held close to the Career Fair or Expo that semester.
    • The Career Center also comes to Fermier conference room for two days to provide the same service.
    • Career Center representatives have years of experience working as recruiters, so they know what recruiters are looking for.
