National Sales Engineering Conference

Howdy PAID Members!

Do you have a passion for both sales and engineering? Are you looking for an opportunity to build yourself professionally while getting exposure to companies? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then I have news for you. PAID has joined the National Sales Engineering Conference and will be sending 6 students (3 teams of 2) to participate in a two-day sales competition at the Timken headquarters in Ohio on October 1st and 2nd. If you are interested in representing Texas A&M and PAID, please read through the details provided and fill out the google form below. Applications are due by August 20th at the latest.

Who should apply?

PAID members who want to build their technical sales skills. It is HIGHLY recommended that you apply with a partner already in mind. Having a good relationship with your partner will make you more effective during the competition and help us build the teams. If you do not have a partner in mind, we will pair you with one if you are chosen.

What is NSEC 2021?

NSEC 2021 is a two-day sales competition at the Timken Headquarters in North Canton, Ohio. The event is filled with keynote speakers, workshops, and the two-day roleplay itself. Groups of two will receive a case study in early September. Throughout the month, you meet with mentors to refine your skills and prepare for October 1st. Each group will participate in a two-day roleplay exercise “selling” to professional sales engineers at the event. Judges will then rate each group’s performance and give feedback. Winners will then be announced at an award ceremony at the Pro Football Hall of Fame on October 2nd.

Companies that will be in attendance include.
Eaton, Timken, Dell, Emerson, CED, Cisco, VMware, Endress+Hauser, Servicenow, and Lincoln Electric.

When is NSEC 2021?

October 1st and 2nd. Please note that the teams will leave College Station on September 31st and return on October 3rd.

Where is NSEC 2021?

North Canton, Ohio. PAID will provide both flights and hotel accommodations for this event.

Other Important Notes

- Breakfast will be provided complimentary from the hotel.
NSEC will provide lunch and dinner for both days of the competition.
- Due to the limited number of spots available, PAID cannot guarantee that all students who apply will be able to attend the event. Participants will be selected based on graduation year and application.
