Inside Sales Manager (SOAR)

Job Type:

Summary/Objective: Supervises and coordinates activities of employees in the SOAR department as well as responsible for handling customer calls.

As the Inside Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of the inside sales department and lead generation process
  • Provide management communications to the VP Sales and Segment Leaders
  • Managing the sales administration process of the assigned targeted accounts as well as small to medium segment of accounts nationally
  • Building an exceptional inside sales team that consistently exceed sales goals through training and coaching
  • Managing per the pricing process including special pricing strategies
  • Defining, streamlining and managing a structured inside sales process designed to drive results
  • Monitoring sales team productivity and motivating team to reach their weekly, monthly and track to their annual goals
  • Continually evaluating and improving inside sales and sales administration process
  • Effectively onboarding, training, and developing new talent
  • Reporting to VP Sales, Marketing and Strategic Sourcing on sales metrics, opportunities and threats
  • Working with Digital Marketing to create: nurturing, demand and account-based campaigns while scoring customers and opportunities for future sales/marketing campaigns as well as providing metrics and analysis per effort
  • Ensuring accurate and complete information is captured in our CRM system and providing data quality checks weekly
  • Utilizing the established sales effectiveness tools to manage the pipeline and ensure that goals are achieved
  • Conducting interviews, orientations and developing personal employee plans to ensure their personal success and their effectiveness in the role
  • Managing performance reviews and appropriate salary reviews/recommendations.
  • Resolving inter-department conflict or issues with Regional Sales Directors counterparts and escalate as necessary

Job Requirements

Education or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) University degree or college diploma
  • 5 years sales management experience in a B2B environment with industrial distribution a plus

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with “SPIN” selling methodology and the ability to develop sales team around this
  • Good negotiating skills and able to develop team to be strong negotiators
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, CRM and the ability to learn other systems

Computer Skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and be able to learn our CRM system and other applicable business systems
