Engineering Support – Mechanical Equipment

Top Responsibilities:
- Help develop mechanical presentations
- Make Equipment Selections for Engineering Requests
- Assist in answering inbound engineering calls
- Support Engineering Sales
- Work closely with estimating team
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop mechanical engineering presentations
- Develop and maintain deep technical understanding of mechanical equipment by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications
- Serve as point of contact for engineering customer questions or needs
- Support inside staff as technical subject-matter expert on mechanical products
- Act as liaison between sales team and estimating team
- Provide technical support to the sales team
- Assist with spec compliance during submittal process and equipment selection
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures
- Work with engineering customers to select company-represented equipment
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with internal and external customers
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Analytical ability
- Able to read plans/blueprints
- Basic and advanced math skills
- Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables
- NetSuite experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to follow up on pending issues
- Ability to meet deadlines
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 year degree in engineering or industrial distribution
- Manufacturing engineering or related field and related work experience
- Experience in mechanical engineering a plus
