Job Description
Outside Sales Representative for a Dallas-based Manufacturer’s Rep Agency, responsible for East Texas and Arkansas. Koelling & Associates, Inc. represents Manufacturers of Industrial Power Transmission equipment, with special focus in the food and beverage and oil and gas industries. The equipment also provides solutions for forestry and water-treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will have consultative sales experience, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by operating as the lead point-of-contact for end-user and OEM customers
Capitalize on existing customer relationships by introducing new products and services
New business development through personal initiative, as well as follow-up on inbound and factory leads, using strategic action plans and providing documentation of contact outcomes
Recognize customer needs, deliver appropriate solutions to increase their productivity while decreasing costs and resolution of issues to ensure customers are satisfaction
Pursue knowledge of territory, markets and competitors
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure growth of client base
Deliver sales presentations, demonstrations and training on products and services
Survey facility equipment and develop proposals for solutions
Follow-up on proposals and initiate changes as required to close orders
Maintain accurate reports and database records of customer contacts/activities and forecast and track key accounts
Participate in company-sponsored sales and technical training sessions
Use own vehicle for travel (mileage paid)
Qualifications/Experience: Strong moral character, can-do attitude, creative problem-solving ability, professional entrepreneurial spirit, willingness to travel, strong written and oral (conversation and presentation) communication skills, excellent time-management and organizational habits, capacity to comprehend and relay technical information, mechanical aptitude and proven territory management.
