Mission: Facilities
In providing excellent service to our clients, the mission of our Facilities department is to ensure that our
central office and other locations are operating at maximum performance. In Facilities, our goal is to
maintain our buildings and keep them operating at the highest level of safety and efficiency, both for
employees and clients.
Position Description
This internship position is a paid position at $15/hr. As an intern for facilities, you will gain real-
world experience in managing and executing multiple projects to ensure the that the Catholic Charities
sites are running smoothly and safely. You will partner with the Director of Facilities in communicating the
status of projects and tasks and communicate with the Facilities team by delegating tasks.
You will be required to work with your hands, so an individual with a “can-do” attitude who is not afraid to
take on big tasks is the ideal candidate for this position. You will be asked to maintain ownership of
projects given to you by the Director of Facilities and see to it that those projects are completed in a
timely manner.
What makes a successful intern?
– Previous facilities or construction experience preferred, but is not required
– Willing to learn and follow directions
– Physically able to bend, stoop, and lift at least 50 pounds multiple times
– Capable of sorting and organizing items
– Capable of intermediate data entry
– High level of computer savvy
– Reliable transportation
– Able to utilize leadership and problem-solving skills
– Flexible, can-do attitude
Intended Outcomes
In this position, you will gain real world experience in project management and execution. As an intern for
Facilities, you will be given responsibility over important projects and complete these projects in a timely,
efficient manner. Aside from project and time management, you will also grow and utilize your leadership
skills in delegating tasks to the Facilities team members.
Overall, you will assist the Director of Facilities in completing ongoing and urgent projects, bringing about
organization in Catholic Charities work-order system, and help the overall building operation of our central
office and offsite locations.

Any training will be provided by the site supervisor on a date TBD.

21 years or older
Attire requirements?
As there will be times when you may have to work outside, please dress for the weather. Closed toe shoes
are required.
